Arthur’s House placed this family’s full-time week day nanny earlier this year and they have come back to us to start the search for a weekend and ad hoc evening nanny for their wonderful family of three. Their focus is on finding a qualified nanny with a positive demeanour who will build a bond with their daughter quickly and be a reliable additional help them. Ideally, this will be on a self-employed basis, however, the family are happy to guarantee hours to the nanny over the month if needed.

The role:

• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the child by planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for her on the weekend.
• Be more than capable of managing the evening routine for an 18 month old and be happy to be in the home when the girl is sleeping. Be able to deal with any situation in the event the girl does wake up.
• You will need to be flexible in this role as schedules can change so ideally the family would love to find someone who is happy to work 1/2 days or 1/2 evenings over any one week
• Use imaginative play to foster a close bond with your charge and help develop her emotional skills, sense of fun and support him to navigate the world day by day
• Work with the weekday nanny as needed to coordinate schedules and activities so the house works in perfect harmony between the two of you
• Accompany your charge as needed to events, playdates and / or parties etc
• Ideally you will live close by so you don’t need to commute to and from work (because of the changing schedule)
• Keep communication lines open and clear and use your emotional intelligence to read the room. You should be confident in your role and able to be ahead of any concerns. You should be able to work both autonomously and within the team and with the parents.

In order to be considered for the role, you will need to have: prior experience as a nanny with impeccable references. You should hold an up to date DBS, have the Right to Work in the UK, an up to date paediatric First Aid Certificate and childcare qualifications.
