This family got in touch with Arthur’s House as they would love to secure a passionate nanny for their household. Both parents work in busy roles and require a competent, trustworthy and experienced nanny to care for their children. The focus for this role is to find someone who is a real self-starter and who can use their initiative to care for the children extremely well and keep on top if basic household responsibilities.

The Role:

• Caring for your charges both in the home and out of the home which includes general nursery duties (feeding, changing nappies, laundry, keeping nursery areas clean and tidy)
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for both children to support them to navigate the world they are growing up in
• Keep on top of admin related to the children e.g. nappy supplies, food shopping, name tagging clothes etc as needed and prepare healthy meals and snacks as needed
• Help with weaning and potty training as your charges develop. Be confident to navigate all stages of growth
• Keep on top of basics in the home i.e be happy to help empty the dishwasher on occasion or put washing away
• Manage the children’s daily routine, including nap time, playtime, and outings. Use your initiative to guide the family on this as needs change related to the youngest child’s development.
• Structure play to be educational, fun and enjoyable for both your charges in term time and holiday time
• Help keep an eye on developmental milestones and the children’s general wellbeing and health - raising any concerns if needed
• Attend doctor’s appointments if needed and administer medicine with approval from parents
• Communicate with parent(s) clearly
